I believe that no one need live in a world where they feel invisible (unless they choose this), and I wanted women to be recognized for both the outstanding and the seemingly everyday contributions they made for our world. I thought that by creating the Unlimited Woman Awards many women could be recognized – and for all the 30+ women that we have given awards to since 2013, there are hundreds and thousands that are equally deserving.
I believe in collaboration and abundance, and I’m going to continue to find ways to honour women and tell their stories, but there won’t be a Unlimited Woman Awards this year, or next year, or maybe ever. Because when someone ‘wins’, someone also doesn’t, and we are all winners, ready to shine our light.
I’ll keep you posted!
