“I must say, that this has been the best Zoom class I’ve taken during the pandemic! I do believe that taking cooking classes from home is actually better, because you’re in your own familiar kitchen surroundings as you make things – so comfy! I’ve been enjoying all that we made so much, and would love a class that included making a nurturing hair oil and/or a facial oil, along with more scrumptious spice recipes! It’s been an added bonus to be able to join in from the SF Bay Area! Looking forward to more!” ~ Charita

THIS IS THE MIDSUMMER NEW MOON SEASON. Together we will make an Ayurvedic African New Moon Spice blend to adorn our food and honor our connections to the spices and foods of Africa, where Spice Mistress Glynnis was born and raised.
We will create a simple and healthy-delicious sweet spice treat using the protein-rich medicine of the peanut and spices to bring out the lion-courage in our hearts.
We will create an enchanting Summer face/body mist using the pitta-pacifying medicine of aloe, with heart-giving floral aromatic botanicals, to keep you cool while you awaken the new moon energy of fierce new love and fiery compassion so needed in the world.
We close the evening with your personal Spice Oracle and a consciousness-awakening meditation.
Spices protect our wellbeing, boost our immunity, and bring fragrant blessings to our daily life. In the midsummer on a new moon in Leo we invite the intensity of our commitment to awaken our lion-hearts while we stay cool and embrace the aromatic spice-medicines.
ON THE NIGHT OF SPICE LOUNGE:
Wear something that honors the new moon! It’s an African Spice Moon LUNARZOOMA!
Prep your kitchen spice altar for Spice Lounge: candles, flowers, special bowls, mortar and pestle, New Moon symbols. Whatever you wish to include in your Spice Lounge experience.
25% of the evenings proceeds will be donated to Community Food Centres Canada Good Food Access Fund.
